Simply Favours' Blog
The 2014 wedding season is about to begin. With a new year comes a new range of wedding favours were sourced. We looked at the latest wedding trends and found fresh ideas for your wedding guests’ gifts.
In South Africa we love our wine, so naturally we started with the wine favours. We found the cutest little bottle opener in a handbag shape and to add to the cuteness, the wedding favour is hot pink.
If you are one of the people who believe that love is the ‘salt’ of life and the only thing to add real flavour, then you will love our new salt and pepper range. We added a ’Hugs and Kisses’ favour, a ’Fleur-de-lis’ favour, a ‘Damask’ salt and pepper shaker as well as the most adorable flower set. All three these wedding favours will add a little extra glamour to your wedding guests’ day and they will love their gifts.
The Lace coaster set is one of our personal favourites at the moment and we are using it in our office while we work. This wedding favour is great for French or Vintage themed weddings and will look beautiful on any reception table.
For the DIY wedding favours we added three beautiful boxes. The first is the ’Love bird favour box’, and then there is the ’Rustic favour box’ and the ’Pretty in Pink – Pom pom favour box’. All three these gift boxes are great for your budget as they are fairly cheap favours and yet they will make your guests smile fondly at them when they see them. We noticed a trend rising for love birds and decided to add an inexpensive bird cage wire favour box to our range as well. These little wire boxes has already received quite a lot of attention and you can be sure that it will look beautiful on your wedding reception tables.
Keep an eye out for our next blog, we are on a mission and hope to help you as much as possible with your wedding planning.
Remember, wether you stay in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town or Pofadder, we deliver to your door across South Africa :-)

Vintage items just have a certain glamour to them and brings nostalgic memories to life.
This article is about vintage themed weddings, however, you can steal a few ideas here even for modern weddings, by simply adding little touches of vintage glam to your wedding for that extra bit of attention to detail.
The stationary used to invite your guests to the wedding will be the first glimpse into your wedding day. Make it count by making use of all the wonderful vintage fonts out there. A few examples are: Candy Inc, Raconteur and Aspire examples seen below:
Bridesmaids’ outfits can be rounded off with white lace gloves and peep toe shoes.
Then there are the shoes… We found this amazing little shop in Cape Town that will decorate any shoes you have with the most beautiful lace, or a gorgeous brooch. But don't worry if you cant make it to Cape Town, you can visit them at their online store http://www.lilyblueshoe.co.za.
When it comes to your decor - think small details. As previously mentioned, small touches can create a whimsical vintage feel, drape a string of pearls over tall lanterns or over your cake stand. Colour choice is also important. Vintage pastels such as yellows, pinks, greens and purples work well together.
You can add a vintage touch to your modern decor in various ways you just have to get creative.
